Hello, my name is Sam Sparks.  I am an AV-rated attorney and seasoned business leader – my passion is working with attorneys and the individuals and organizations they represent to help find workable and reasonable resolutions to their disputes.

I bring to the ADR table a wealth of legal and construction knowledge gained from over 38 years of experience in both industries. My background as an attorney, in-house counsel and senior business leader – along with my education and training as an attorney, mediator and arbitrator – have prepared me for the hundreds of cases I’ve arbitrated and mediated within the construction, commercial and general business industries.

I love what I do as a neutral. Throughout my career I have been fortunate to gain vast and varied experience – from reading architectural renderings, to knowing how to identify and fix construction issues, to representing in court clients  as well as companies with disputes, to negotiating and working with the wide supply chain involved in construction, and now to residing over disputes as a neutral – I’ve done it all.  This is what makes me uniquely qualified to understand the issues at hand and work with all parties to find effective solutions.  I now focus 100% of my time acting as a neutral with the aim of helping your clients reach a resolution with minimal delays and with the certainty that their issues are understood and dealt with in a fair and judicious manner.

I have been a member of the Georgia Bar since 1981, am registered as a neutral with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution as a mediator and an arbitrator, and I also have years of prior experience as a general contractor and land developer. I currently serve as the Vice Chair for the Atlanta Bar Association Dispute Resolution Section and am a Board member of the Georgia Bar Section on Dispute Resolution.
